For the second year running we are honoured to have have been invited to play in the Norwich & Peterborough Challenge Cup against Sole Bay in Reydon.

Last year we lost 3-0 and we outclassed by a strong Sole Bay team.

We have often measured our progress by the results against Sole Bay, because they are a good, well disciplined team always showing the right attitude and play a good passing game. They scored 133 goals last season and finished 2nd in the B league to Pakefield B on goal difference. We believe that they should have been in the A league from the outset really and we have always regarded them as one of the best teams in our age group.

During this summers tournaments we have faced Sole Bay teams on a number of occasions and I don't think we conceded a goal against them. With this in mind and along with the loss of one of their forwards, who has joined the Norwich City Academy, we are hoping to show that we have closed the quality gap between our two teams.

After the match there will be a BBQ and the parents are welcome to bring an alcoholic beverage to wash the burgers down with. It would be nice if we could all stay for a while after the game and show our appreciation.

We will be fielding a full squad of 15 boys for this match, so we will have 4 subs and everyone will get plenty of game time. Lets really show them how we have improved since last year.
