Mutford have drawn Gorleston Rangers C in the first round of the knock-out cup.

The two sides last met two seasons ago at 7-a-side level in the C league. Rangers winning at The Dell 4-1 and the return fixture 2-0.

Mutford manager Paul Rose said, "This will be a very tough game. The fact that they are called a C team is not a reflection of their ability. There is nothing between any of the Gorleston teams at our age group. We must show more spirit and determination than we did last week or we will end up with a similar scoreline - or worse".

Mutford enter the game after a dreadful performance against Hempnall.

Ranger have had a disjointed start to their season with call offs and cancellations interrupting their fixtures. The one result of note was a 1-1 draw with the very strong Aztec side.
