30th April - Invitation Match Mutford v Byron FC. - Lost 2-0

Summer Tournaments kicked off with a friendly against Byron FC from Essex.

Byron play in the Essex league and spent the weekend in North Suffolk playing friendly matches. It was a good game played in good spirit with the visitors winning 2-0.

14th May - Gorleston FC Tournament - Semi Finals

A good start to Mutford's summer tournaments saw Mutford Gent progress to the Semi Final, beating a number of good teams along the way. Mutford won their Quarter Final tie against SC Rovers 4-3, and eventually losing to Gorleston Rangers in the Semi Final. Mutford Jocks were unlucky not to qualify out of the group stages.

28th May - Mutford United FC Tournament - Winners

A quality line-up to the Mutford tournament saw Aztec, Waveney, Sole Bay and Bungay with Mutford Gents and Mutford Jocks completing the line-up. This was a highly contested tournament that saw Mutford Gents beat Sole Bay in the Semi Final and Bungay in the Final.

18th June - Gorleston Rangers Tournament - Group Stage

What I think we call an off-day, neither Mutford Gents or Mutford Jocks lived up to their performances in earlier tournaments and both teams failed to make it out of the group stages, 'nuf said.

2nd July - Shrublands Tournament - Quarter Final

A strong tournament with big groups including teams from Shrublands, Yarmouth, Gunton, Gorleston, Pakefield and Norwich. Mutford Gents failed to qualify out of the group stages, but Mutford Jocks made it to the Quarter Finals were a poor display saw them defeated by Gunton.

9th July - Hempnall Tournament - Runner Up

3 last minute call-offs threatened to spoil this tournament for Mutford, but the determination of the boys with gratitude to Joe, Sam & Ollie who stepped in at the last minute, saw Mutford Jocks lose to Hempnall in sudden death penalties in the final.

14th August - St Benets Wasps - Runner Up

A great end to the summer tournaments for Mutford, finishing runner-up and narrowly missing out on winning the tournament on penalties to Pakefield after leading for most of the match. Great performances from Harrison, Phil, Smiffy, Jervey, Jason, AJ, Jordan and Mikey.
