Result - Won 11-0

Mutford eased into the 1st round proper of the Cup with a scintillating 2nd half display against St. Benets Wasps B.

Mutford started looking a little nervous and couldn't get going, but did come close when a Smiffy through ball released Josh who went close as the ball skidded past the keeper.

A blow for St. benets saw their keeper replaced when he miss-punched the ball following a Mutford cross.

Mutford scored their first when the ball fell to the persistent Clabby following a goal mouth scramble. Clabby's second followed shortly after when the keeper could only parry his first effort straight back into his path, and he made no mistake the second time.

Half Time 2-0.

Although Mutford edged the first half they were to destroy St Benets with a superb 2nd half display. A through ball from Mikey setup Jordan who made no mistake. Johnny came close following a well worked short corner between and excellent cross from Phil.

2 typical Mikey finishes saw Mutford stretch their lead to 5-0 before Josh's double made it 7.

It was Jordan's turn next for 2 quick goals to make it 9 for Mutford and a hatrick for himself.

Clabby grabbed his hatrick with the 10th, and the hard working Joe made it 11 with his first goal of the season.

Afterwards assistant manager Mark said "It was a scintillating second half performance that we had been threatening to do for several matches now, it was unfortunate for St. Benets that it happened against them. I wish them all the best in the shield, they are a great club".
