15th October 2006 - Home 12.00pm KO vs. Harleston Result - Mutford 7 Harleston 0 Mutford recorded their first home win in the league this season and move up to 5th in the league with a discipline display against Harleston. Mutford had the better of the early exchanges and it was the evergreen Phil who grabbed the first goal in a game that he would go on to also take the MoM award with a great display from right-midfield. Jordan made it 2-0 shortly after. Smiffy put the home side firmly in the driving seat after good work down the right from Phil, whose low cross found the unmarked midfielder at the far post. Half-time 3-0 Mutford's back-four of Mousey, Jason, Jack and Josh were looking solid and Joe came close to his first goal of the season with a rasping left foot drive, superbly saved by the Harleston 'Keeper. Danny made it four with a well deserved crafty finish for his first league goal of the season. More Mutford pressure resulted in a penalty as Smiffy's driving run into the box was halted by a miss-timed tackle, giving Jordan the opportunity to bag his second of the game. Unfortunately for Jordan, he blasted over the bar. Phil made it 5-0 with a great shot before Mikey poached his obligatory goal. The ever-improving Robbie scored his first ever goal for the club with the 7th and final goal of the game with a 20 yard screamer. After the game Mutford Coach Mark said, "it was a fine display, we really played well in all departments".
